Day trip to Torrey Pines Preserve

Saturday, May 17th, 2014

On May 10 we went to close by Torrey Pines Preserve. What a special place! The Preserve is located next to the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course (followers of Tiger Woods know what I am talking about), and just minutes away from a busy UTC area. But once you walk into the terrain, the sounds of waves, smell of pine tress and cliff views take you away from the daily reality and transfer you to a serenity place. The weather was on our side – not too cold, and not too hot. Talking about California at its best! We climbed down the cliff to Black Beach, walked the beach, and checked the tide pools. After we inhaled the ocean breeze and listened to the waves, we climbed up the cliff, and walked back to the parking, where we ate lunch. By then it was getting late, and we all had to go back home to get ready for the Polish Ball on 30th St. What an enjoyable day!
